Seamless Microcement Flooring for Restaurant

The owner of this commercial restaurant space in Riyadh was facing a major challenge with their raw, unfinished concrete floor. The existing concrete floor looked very rough, unpolished, and completely out of place for a modern dining establishment. In a busy food service business, raw concrete is highly problematic because it is porous, meaning it quickly absorbs liquid spills, cooking oils, water, and harsh cleaning chemicals, leading to permanent stains, bad odors, and unhygienic conditions that violate commercial standards. Additionally, the restaurant's grand opening date was right around the corner. The client urgently needed a premium, highly durable, and easy-to-clean floor finish, but they had a very tight schedule and could only give our team a maximum of 2 days to complete the entire transformation before their furniture setup and opening timeline began.

To solve this challenge quickly while ensuring top-tier quality, we executed a careful, multi-step microcement flooring installation over the 48-square-meter floor. We began on day one by using professional diamond grinding machines to clean the concrete base, smooth out the rough spots, and open up the pores so our materials would stick perfectly. After vacuuming all the dust, we applied a high-penetration priming coat to seal the concrete and create a strong bond. Next, we carefully laid down the microcement base layers, embedded a specialized fiberglass reinforcement mesh directly into the floor to protect it from cracking under heavy foot traffic, and applied the final smooth finish coats. Our skilled team troweled each layer by hand to create a natural, premium texture. On the second day, after everything had dried completely, we applied multiple coats of a premium, clear protective sealer that guards the floor against water, scratches, and daily commercial cleaning. The entire process was fully completed and delivered within the strict 2-day deadline.

The final result is a beautiful, highly durable, and completely seamless architectural microcement floor that covers the entire 48-square-meter restaurant area. By removing all old grout lines, joints, and seams, we created a continuous surface where dirt, grease, and bacteria can no longer hide, making the restaurant fully hygienic and extremely easy for the staff to mop and maintain. The new floor has excellent weight distribution and durability, meaning it can easily handle continuous movement of heavy restaurant tables, chairs, and hundreds of daily customers without wearing down. Despite the extremely fast 2-day turnaround time, the microcement achieved an unbreakable chemical bond with the concrete substrate underneath, ensuring it will never peel or crack, and giving the client a modern, high-end look just in time for their opening.
