CODE LTD First-Floor Office Renewal — Al-Sulaymaniyah, Riyadh

CODE LTD’s first-floor workplace in Al-Sulaymaniyah was already a finished working environment when the flooring project began. The reception counter, glass-partitioned offices, desks, storage cabinets, lighting and most of the interior fit-out were already in place. That made the floor one of the largest remaining visual elements connecting the workplace. The reception, internal passageways and individual offices all sit within the same compact first-floor layout, framed by black glass profiles, dark skirting, pale walls and the company’s white-and-orange interior details. The challenge was not to make the floor another strong feature competing with that interior. It needed to calm the space down, connect the separate working zones visually and sit naturally beneath furniture and glass partitions that were already part of the office.

A soft light-grey tone was chosen to work with the existing office rather than compete with it. The colour sits naturally beside the grey storage cabinetry and black framing, while its subtle tonal movement prevents the large floor area from looking flat or overly uniform. The same visual language was carried through the reception area, connecting passages and private offices so the first floor reads as one workplace rather than a collection of separate rooms. Particular attention was given to the visible boundaries beside the glass partitions, black skirting, fixed desks and reception elements because these are the points where an inconsistent floor would be noticed immediately. The 133 m² first-floor area was completed over three working days while much of the office fit-out remained in place. This project also adds a real workplace example to our microcement flooring for offices and commercial interiors work in Saudi Arabia.

The first floor now reads as one calm, connected workplace across approximately 133 m². The light-grey floor runs through the reception, internal circulation areas and offices without taking attention away from the glass walls, black detailing or CODE LTD’s interior identity. Instead, it gives those elements a quieter background and makes the separate rooms feel visually related when viewed through the transparent partitions. The finished floor also works particularly well with the existing grey cabinetry and contemporary office furniture, while the natural variation in the surface keeps the overall result from feeling factory-made or repetitive. The project was completed in three working days and finished on 8 August 2026.
