Microcement Installation Process - Step by Step
Professional installation in Riyadh completed in 3-5 days by our 16-year team
1. Surface Preparation
We start by inspecting the substrate – whether concrete slab, existing tile, plastered wall or cement board. Everything gets cleaned, assessed, loose material, grease, dust and stains removed. Cracks and holes are filled with mortar or epoxy filler, overly smooth surfaces like polished tile are roughened for mechanical grip, and we ensure the pavement is bone dry with zero humidity.
2. Special Water Base Protection Barrier & Primer
A Special Water Base Protection Barrier blocks rising damp and acts as vapor barrier for longevity. Then comes the high-adhesion primer – absorbent primer for porous surfaces (concrete, plaster) or adhesion promoter for non-porous (tiles, marble) to create both chemical link and mechanical link between old surface and new layers.
3. First & Second Base Coats
After the primer dry, we trowel a microbase layer (coarser mix) for foundational strength, embed fiberglass mesh to prevent cracks, cure 6–8 hours and sand. The second pigmented microcement base in your desired microcement color builds desired thickness, evens tone and creates a tenacious bond.
4. Finishing Coats
Two layers of finishing microcement – Microdeck for sleek finish indoors, Microstone or coarse microcement for exteriors and enhanced durability. Using specialized tools and troweling techniques we add texture, movement or perfectly smooth finish.
5. Sealing Protection
Once fully cured (24 hours), we apply transparent topcoat – two-component polyurethane (Maxipur 100% scratch-resistant) or high-performance water-based acrylic (Aquamax Pro natural matte). Wet zones get extra Special Colorless Coating Water Base for waterproofing and anti-slip finishes.
6. Curing & Handover
With proper ventilation light walking after first few days, full furniture after 7 days. A 100 m² home plus two large bathrooms is ready in 3–5 working days – way faster than demolition, screeding, tiling, grouting and endless downtime of traditional methods.

How long does microcement actually last in Riyadh?
With professional installation and normal usage you’re looking at 10 to 20 years, often 10–15 years before any major refurbishment. Our earliest installations are still perfect after 15 years. Just refresh with a new coat sealer every few years – no grout discolors, no cracks like wood that needs refinishing.
Is it really 100% waterproof for bathrooms & kitchens?
Yes – the resin-modified system is waterproof throughout. Once properly applied and sealed it forms a continuous waterproof skin with no pinholes or gaps. We can make it slip-resistant or perfectly smooth, safe for showers, spas, pools and wet areas.
What’s the real price in Riyadh right now (Nov 2025)?
SAR 230 to SAR 350 per square meter complete – depends on surface condition, project size, complexity, special textures and whether we use Microdur Plus or Microrock. Still far more cost-effective than demolition + premium tiles.
Can you install over my existing tiles?
95 % of the time – yes. As long as the substrate is stable, cracks repaired, cleaned and primed, we lay it directly on ceramic tile, terrazzo, marble, old concrete or gypsum plaster. No rip out, renovations faster, cleaner and cheaper.
How do I clean it with all the Riyadh dust?
Simplest floor ever: sweeping, vacuuming or mopping with water and pH-neutral mild detergent. No aggressive chemicals, no grout lines, everything wipes clean. Refresh the protective sealer every 5–7 years and it stays perfect.
Is microcement safe & hygienic for kitchens?
Completely non-porous, food-grade safe and hygienic once cured. No place for bacteria or germs. Handles acidic spills (vinegar, lemon juice), high heat (use trivets), and looks amazing on counters and dining tables in trendy cafés and homes.
Will it crack in Riyadh heat?
Almost never. We use microfibers, resin, flexible components and fiberglass mesh in problematic areas. The system absorbs minor movements and thermal expansion. After hundreds of summers I’ve never seen structural cracking on a sound substrate.
What colors and textures do you offer?
